Job Summary
Operate light, medium, and heavy equipment including trucks, crawler tractors, power cranes, shovels, graders, and related machinery to load and move dirt, rocks, and materials. Receive written, visual, and oral instructions from supervisors regarding excavation and material movement while coordinating machine actions with crew signals. Demonstrate safe operation, read gauge results, and perform daily maintenance, servicing, or minor repairs on all equipment. Drive and maneuver equipment with blades to remove topsoil, vegetation, or rocks and to distribute or level earth and terrain. Level specific responsibilities performed under direct supervision to meet basic construction specifications. This role supports the Walnut Creet Wastewater Treatment Plant Expansion Project at Rust Constructors, Inc. in Austin, TX.
Required Qualifications
- Four years of experience in a related position
- Ability to read, interpret, and understand plans and specifications
- Must pass a pre-employment Substance Abuse and Criminal Background screening
- Must be able to work in a safety sensitive position
- Must be authorized to work in the United States (no sponsorship available)
