Job Summary
Operate, service, and maintain various heavy equipment including front-end loaders, off-road dump trucks, skid steers, and man-lifts to keep the plant clean and in production. Perform pre-shift and end-of-shift checks, fueling, oiling, and greasing while adhering to all safety rules and PPE requirements. Complete required paperwork, maintain accurate maintenance logs and inventory reports, and participate in general and job-specific training. Work days, nights, and weekends outdoors in extreme weather conditions, lifting up to 50 lbs and following all company standards.
Required Qualifications
- High School or Equivalent
- Must maintain regular, dependable attendance and a high level of performance
- Read, write, and communicate in English
- Understand basic math
- Working knowledge of US Aggregates Safety and Operating principles
- Complete all applicable documentation, recordkeeping, and daily inventory
- Must be able to work with a team, take direction and follow work rules
- Must be able to work with a team, take direction and follow work rules, as well as take on additional job responsibilities as needed or assigned
- Flexibility required; ability to work days, nights, weekends
- Must possess and exhibit excellent communication skills
- Must have the ability to continuously stand or walk on level or uneven ground
- Must have the ability to ascend and descend ladders, stairways and incline catwalks
- Must have the ability to bend, crouch and/or kneel at the waist or knees
- Must have the ability to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50lbs
- Ability to work outside the majority of the time and withstand extreme weather conditions
- Must be able to work with a team, take direction and follow work rules, as well as take on additional job responsibilities as needed or assigned
Desired Qualifications
- Strong welding, torching, and maintenance skills preferred
