Job Summary
Operate an order picker or cherry picker to retrieve, transport, and put away furniture in designated warehouse storage locations. Consistently lift, carry, push, pull, and reposition items weighing up to 50 pounds while scanning inventory with an RF scanner to ensure accurate product placement and tracking. Perform daily pre-use equipment inspections, maintain a clean and safe work area, and follow all OSHA standards and company safety policies. Work the 6:30 p.m. to 3:00 a.m. shift, with additional hours, weekends, or overtime as required. Assist with inventory counts and cycle verification as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience operating an order picker, cherry picker, or similar powered industrial equipment
- Ability to consistently lift and handle items weighing up to 50 pounds throughout the shift
- Ability to safely work at elevated heights while operating an order picker
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive movements for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling and recording inventory
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Ability to work the scheduled shift and additional hours, weekends, or overtime as required
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience handling or storing furniture, large products, or bulky inventory
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and RF scanning technology
- Current powered industrial truck certification
- Previous experience in a fast-paced warehouse, distribution, or logistics environment
