Job Summary
Equipment Operator II performs skilled manual operation of heavy equipment and public works vehicles in construction and maintenance activities, including locating cemetery plots using maps and locating devices; responsibilities include operating and maintaining heavy/specialized equipment, observing safety precautions, and supporting related maintenance tasks. Requires knowledge of cemetery layout and lot locations, preventative maintenance, and the ability to perform heavy manual labor under varying weather conditions. A CDL Class A license and specific Massachusetts hoisting licenses are required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma and three years experience in public works construction and maintenance activities including the operation of heavy and specialized equipment; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
- CDL Class A unrestricted drivers license required.
- Massachusetts Class 2A, 1C and 4G Hoisting Licenses.
