Job Summary
Operate various mobile equipment (including motor graders, track mobiles, and haul units) to move raw materials from rail to stockpile and load finished products. Maintain roadways and loading areas for the designated business unit. Perform daily pre-shift inspections, report needed repairs, and assist with equipment and plant repairs, maintenance, and housekeeping. Follow safety rules per MSHA/OSHA and company policies. Provide coverage in other plant operations (rail unloading, quality control, scale house) as needed. Must be able to work irregular shifts, days/nights, weekends, and travel with overnight stays (1–3 days); accommodations and reimbursements are provided for travel >50 miles. Preferred education includes a High School Diploma or GED; 1+ years of heavy equipment operating experience; strong reading/writing/communication in English and basic math skills (fractions, percentages, gauges). Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalency preferred
- 1+ years heavy equipment operating experience preferred
- Must be able to read, write and verbally communicate in English
- Must be able to perform basic math, including calculations using fractions, percentages, read and interpret gauges and ratios
- Must have the ability to plan, organize and prepare accurate records and be a self-starter with ability to work with little or no supervision
