Equipment Operator – Hydraulic Excavators, Skid Loader, Dozer

Job Summary
Load and unload equipment securely, transport tools and materials, and complete daily inspections before commencing work. Operate hydraulic excavators, skid loaders, and dozers to assist in placing underground utilities for communications, gas, water, sewer, and electric projects. Locate existing utilities and verify them against blueprints, then dig pits, trenches, or potholes while restoring and landscaping disturbed areas. Connect conduit and wire as required, accurately complete all documentation including timesheets and expense reports, and adhere to safety policies. Read engineering prints, manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, and work independently or collaboratively. This role supports construction and upgrade teams across various job sites.
Required Qualifications
- One year of experience operating a directional bore drill
- Previous rock boring experience
- One year of Hydraulic Excavators, Skid Loader, and Dozer experience
- Class A CDL
- Must be willing and able to travel out of town with occasional overnight stays to assigned projects
- Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds on an occasional basis
- Pass pre-employment drug test and criminal background screen
- Complete and pass a DOT Physical
- Ability to read and interpret engineering/construction prints, plans, and specifications
- Knowledge of utility depths and placements
- Possess general knowledge of construction practices
- Ability to work in various environments/settings with moderate to loud noise levels
- Ability to work in trenches, excavations, and manholes
- Must have attention to detail and be thorough in completing work tasks
- Ability to work efficiently, independently, and collaboratively within a team environment
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to move materials/equipment weighing up to 80 pounds
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with changing priorities to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Able to work 5-7 days a week, 10+ hours a day when necessary
- Willing to work outside in varying weather conditions
- Must reside in the United States
