Job Summary
Perform pre-shift safety analyses on all mining equipment and operate Komatsu haul trucks, front-end loaders, and shovels for earth moving and road watering duties. Conduct minor maintenance checks on fluid levels and belt quality while maintaining operations records. Assist with manual labor functions including shoveling dirt, fence mending, and small rock movements as needed. Adhere to MSHA and Cal-OSHA regulations regarding equipment and road maintenance standards. Requires a driver's license and 3 to 5 years of experience operating large mining-related equipment.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience operating large mining-related equipment
- Driver's license
- Able to read and fully understand all equipment handbooks and guidelines
- Able to analyze equipment gauges and warnings as needed
- Adhere to safety policies and standards
- Must abide by manufacturers' limits on our equipment including an operator seat capacity of 350 lbs. or less
