Job Summary
Operate forklift, bobcat, backhoe, track hoe, baler, compactor and other listed heavy equipment to bale and load waste material, performing daily inspections, maintenance, lubrication, and fluid checks. Communicate with co-workers via two-way radio; substitute for other operators as needed; follow safety policies, regulations, and site procedures; maintain grounds and participate in safety/branch meetings; work outdoors in varying conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of forklift certification
- High school diploma or GED desired but not required
- Ability to obtain Transfer Station / Landfill Operations Certification if needed
- Must be able to read, speak, understand and write English
- Must be able to frequently lift/push/pull up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
- Work outdoors 100% of the time
