Job Summary
Equipment Operator role at Forgen performing earth-moving operations with heavy machinery (dozers, scrapers, loaders, excavators, compactors). Responsibilities include excavation, grading, and compaction of land, loading material into trucks, coordinating tasks via hand-held radios, reading safety plans and SDS, adhering to safety regulations, working independently or in teams, and capable of extended hours including evenings and weekends. Required: high school diploma/GED or equivalent, 2+ to 10+ years of heavy equipment operation/maintenance depending on level, and safety training as noted; environment includes exposure to heavy machinery, dust, chemicals, noise, and extreme weather; PPE provided. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent
- Operator 1: 2+ years of heavy equipment operation/maintenance experience
- Operator 2: 5+ years of heavy equipment operation/maintenance experience
- Operator 3: 10+ years of heavy equipment operation/maintenance experience
- 40 Hour HAZWOPER training (preferred)
- Competent Person Safety Training (preferred)
- 8-Hour Supervisory Training (preferred)
- 30-Hour OSHA Construction Safety Training (preferred)
- First Aid and CPR (preferred)
- Proper PPE use and safety protocols
