Job Summary
Monitor and control large industrial equipment to meet production and sanitation requirements while maintaining situational awareness. Ensure machines operate at optimal levels in accordance with safety and quality assurance standards. Perform detailed monitoring of equipment displays to verify material processing and immediately notify management or correct any problems. Assist in teardown, cleaning, and rebuilding of equipment, then set up panels properly for production to ensure timely startup. Maintain plant cleanliness and follow all established procedures. Communicate effectively with other departments to solve problems and provide leadership as backup to the supervisor. Work flexible hours including weekends, requiring regular attendance and the ability to lift up to 60lbs.
Required Qualifications
- Basic math skills
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Good observation skills with the ability to troubleshoot problems
- Ability to effectively collect, analyze, and interpret data
- Self-directed and the ability to work independently as well as with others
- Willing and able to ask questions regarding unfamiliar tasks
- Communicate effectively with all levels of employees as necessary, both in written and verbal form
- Must have regular and punctual attendance
- Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 60lbs
- Must be willing and able to work flexible hours, including weekends
Desired Qualifications
- General knowledge of computers and software is preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of plant production experience or equivalent is preferred
