Job Summary
Operate yard dog equipment to move and load pneumatic cement trailers within the plant yard during overnight shifts. This role uses a yard tractor to shuttle empty and loaded trailers between staging, loading silos, and parking areas, performing pre-shift safety inspections, ensuring proper alignment and safe loading, inspecting trailers for defects, and coordinating with Scale Operators, Dispatch, Drivers, Plant & Yard Supervisors, and the Logistics Manager while maintaining compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies.
Required Qualifications
- High School or GED
- 1-2 years experience
- Ability to use Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)
- Valid driving record
- Able to pass pre-employment physical/drug/alcohol test
- Two years previous heavy equipment experience (preferred)
- Willing to work overtime and weekends
- Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to operate yard tractor and shuttle trailers
- Strong safety and compliance awareness
