Job Summary
Operate self-propelled equipment to apply fertilizer and crop protection products across farm fields during the growing season. Manage field computers and electronic dispatching to ensure timely, accurate applications while utilizing software for field mapping, crop planning, and record keeping. Deliver liquid and dry fertilizers to farms using pickup, straight, and semi-trucks as necessary. Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance on agricultural application equipment and conduct facility repairs. Travel between cooperative locations and customer operations, communicating daily with agronomists and team members. Work Monday through Friday with Saturday and Sunday hours expected during the spring season, including extended shifts during peak times.
Required Qualifications
- Wisconsin Commercial Pesticide Operators license
- Clean driving record
- Conscientious attitude
- Attention to detail
- Thorough knowledge of agronomic crop production practices
- Excellent communication skills
- Adaptability to interruption and fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills
- Attention to details
- Problem solving skills
- Computer skills adequate to operate equipment field computers
- Valid Class A CDL
- Ability to obtain a WI Custom Applicator license
- Ability to obtain a Class A CDL
