Job Summary
Operate metal burning machines with gas or laser equipment to maintain optimal uptime and part quality. Review and verify batch tickets, work instructions, material specifications, and part numbers before cutting. Communicate effectively with crane operators, machine operators, and parts processors to streamline production and reduce downtime. Perform first article inspections to confirm thickness, measurements, and cut quality. Properly mark remnants for restocking and monitor operations to minimize material waste and maximize machine time. Enforce all company safety protocols and industry standards. Complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check, including THC testing, and pass E-Verify eligibility confirmation. Full-time onsite swing shift Monday through Friday with a starting wage of $20.15 to $29.45 plus a $1.25 hourly differential.
Required Qualifications
- At least one (1) year of steel saw cutting machine experience
- Basic understanding of warehouse functions and equipment operation
- Ability to communicate effectively, orally and writing in English
- Ability to work in a team environment with others in our company and treat our employees and customers with respect, courtesy and tact
- Ability to perform routine office support, understand written and oral instruction, and make mathematical calculations
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Must pass a background check
- Must be eligible to legally work in the US (E-Verify)
