Job Summary

Set up, operate, and tear down machines and equipment while ensuring production standards are met at line speed. Maintain ongoing communication with Production Supervision, Quality Assurance, and Maintenance regarding equipment performance and downtime. Follow safety procedures, including Lock Out – Tag Out protocols, and adhere to USDA and GMP product standards. Observe equipment operation, notify personnel of malfunctions, and maintain accurate equipment records through logs or electronic devices. Keep the work area clean and organized while cross-training on other equipment as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Must be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Must pass a background check, drug screen and pre-employment physical
  • Must be able to use basic math and typing skills
  • Ability to pass Lock Out – Tag Out training
  • Ability to learn and to perform work on all equipment within assigned department
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Works independently and self-motivated in performing job tasks
  • Communicate effectively and follow verbal and written instructions
  • Must be physically capable of working extended hours, overtime, holidays, and weekends if needed and in varying elements that could include damp, cold, wet, hot or warm environment, standing for long periods of time
  • This position requires the individual to wear and work in personal protective equipment while in the manufacturing environment

Desired Qualifications

  • Previous experience working in a food manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of machines and equipment
