Job Summary
Top off fluid and check levels including fuel/DEF, start units in the morning, and perform daily gate checks. Conduct minor repairs on lights, wipers, and tires, and check for safe operation before shifting. Assist local field mechanics with routine maintenance, repairs, parts runs, and chassis lube as needed. Replace filters and ensure all equipment is ready for construction crews to begin work efficiently. This developmental role offers a clear pathway to becoming a skilled mechanic through ongoing training. Based in Omaha, NE, the position requires a DOT physical, valid driver's license, and high school diploma.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to obtain a DOT medical card
- Valid Driver's License
- High school Graduate, Holder of G.E.D.
- Knowledge of DOT compliance
- Ability to travel for work
