Job Summary
Seeking a skilled Equipment Mechanic to join an equipment rental company specializing in various rental machinery including heavy construction equipment and homeowner tools. The role involves inspection, maintenance, and repair of various equipment types, requiring knowledge of gas and diesel engines, along with strong mechanical skills.
Required Qualifications
- Proven Experience as a mechanic or service technician (equipment rental, construction, small engine, ag, or heavy equipment preferred).
- Knowledge of small engines, hydraulic systems, diesel engines, and electrical systems.
- Ability to read schematics, service manuals, and diagnostic tools.
- Valid driver’s license; CDL a plus but not required.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work both indoors and outdoors.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Customer service-minded and reliable.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with brands such as John Deere, Bobcat, CAT, Ditch Witch, Genie and similar equipment.
