Equipment Mechanic - 2nd Shift - El Paso, TX

Job Summary

Perform routine preventative maintenance, diagnostic inspections, and repair operations on construction equipment per manufacturer specifications. Troubleshoot breakdowns on site or via phone, document all maintenance and repairs accurately, and order parts using the work order system. Manage inventory by receiving, organizing, storing, and distributing equipment parts and supplies. Communicate with internal and external partners regarding maintenance questions and refer exceptions to the supervisor. Requires 2+ years of mechanic experience, ability to lift 50 pounds, and proficiency in MS Office.

Required Qualifications

  • High School/GED or equivalent
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds
  • Demonstrated knowledge of maintenance operations including: engine oil changes, hydraulic pump and cylinder functions, diesel engine operations, basic electrical functions

Desired Qualifications

  • Apprentice Program or Vocational training on equipment repair
  • 2+ years mechanic or maintenance operations
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Ability to learn the operating/accounting system for data entry
  • Demonstrated ability to identify common end items, parts, and tools
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service through positive interaction with customers
  • Ability to build relationships and collaborate within a team, both internally and externally
