Job Summary
Lead the full lifecycle of automated high-precision manufacturing equipment for LEGO decoration, coating, and pre-assembly processes, from concept development through design, build, testing, and factory implementation. Drive technical direction by creating mechanical solutions using CAD tools, managing project planning, timelines, and cost estimates, while ensuring compliance with engineering standards. Oversee design reviews, D-FMEA, test planning, and root cause analysis to maintain solution quality and operational adoption. Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver scalable manufacturing solutions that transition smoothly to production sites. Based in Billund, Denmark, with an average of three days per week in the office and occasional travel to manufacturing sites.
Required Qualifications
- Background in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a similar field
- Experience developing automated high-precision manufacturing equipment through to full implementation
- Proficient with mechanical design using CAD tools, e.g. Siemens NX or similar
- The ability to contribute to technical decisions, planning, and structured problem solving
- Experience with testing, validation, and continuous improvement activities
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with others to achieve shared success
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
- Experience working with Teamcenter or similar technical document management systems
- Knowledge of industrialization and digitalization (e.g. Industry 4.0)
- Experience with agile project execution e.g. Scrum
- Experience with structural analysis, e.g. finite element analysis
- Knowledge of vision systems or similar
