Job Summary
Equipment Manager to oversee planning, coordination, and direction of all equipment operations across job sites. Responsible for ensuring effective maintenance and repair programs, equipment safety, and optimal utilization. Serves as a technical advisor to leadership on equipment budgeting and strategic purchasing; supervise yard personnel and shop mechanics; manage the purchase, lease, resale, auction, and retirement of equipment; track lifecycle and determine repair vs. replacement; assign equipment to projects; coordinate repairs with internal and external service providers; monitor downtime, performance trends, and maintenance costs; ensure compliance with CARB and DOT; coordinate operator training; manage vehicle fleet and DMV registrations/insurance; travel to job sites as required; perform additional duties as assigned. Key skills include leadership, budgeting, vendor management, GPS tracking, safety compliance, and strong communication."
