Job Summary
Define, develop, and optimize maintenance strategies for critical production equipment while leading technicians to troubleshoot complex failures and resolve root causes using RCA, FMEA, and FTA. Own improvement projects to maximize availability, support hands-on repairs of mechanical, electrical, fluid, and control systems, and interface with engineering and procurement to eliminate production hold factors. Identify and optimize spare parts lists, manage inventory levels, and drive process improvements based on technician feedback. Work extended hours and weekends as needed, including C-Shift and D-Shift rotations, with up to 10% travel to support 24/7 operations at the Canandaigua, NY facility.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate
- 6+ months of hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment
- Must be able to work extended hours and weekends as needed
- Must be available to travel for short trips as needed, up to 10% travel
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted
- This position is 100% onsite at our Canandaigua, NY facility
- Ability to work in outdoor environments as needed
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. lawful permanent resident, Refugee, or Asylee (or eligible for required authorizations)
- Must be able to interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, GD&T, and P&IDs
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or physics
- 2+ years of troubleshooting technical problems in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with MRP, ERP, and CMMS systems
- Experience with Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) principles
- Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) or Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP)
- Hands-on experience with automated industrial equipment
- Experience leading technicians through troubleshooting and performing root cause analysis
- Experience coordinating projects with contractors and third parties
- Demonstrates critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal and diplomacy skills; capable of communicating summarized accomplishments in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to demonstrate a high sense of urgency
- Experience using Microsoft Office Products, Smartsheet, Jira, SQL and PowerBI
