Job Summary
The Equipment Maintenance Technician is responsible for all operations related to the usage and maintenance of equipment at customer sites. Key responsibilities include assembling, disassembling, and troubleshooting production and tooling equipment, following and interpreting blueprints and specifications, conducting precision measurements, and ensuring safety and compliance with company policies. The role requires strong mechanical skills, familiarity with power tools, and the ability to lift and move materials. Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with customers and team members are essential.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum one-year related experience as a Tool Maker or Tool Maintenance Technician, combined with training.
- Reads and understands blueprints, schematics, and/or measuring devices.
- Understand Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- Proficient in operating small machines, such as drill press, lathe, mill, surface grinder, saw, etc., ability to use MIG and TIG welding equipment.
Desired Qualifications
- Trade school or apprenticeship in a related field preferred.
- Thorough understanding of controls software in an automated environment.
