Job Summary
An Equipment Maintenance Technician II is responsible for installation, diagnosis, repair, and preventive maintenance of manufacturing equipment and associated process supply systems. The role requires troubleshooting to optimize equipment effectiveness and maintaining records of repairs and maintenance. Key skills include mechanical, electrical, electronic, and control systems knowledge, along with the ability to work independently and assist in training others. Certification of basic proficiency for equipment in assigned areas is essential, along with strict adherence to safety regulations.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Maintenance Technician I or two to four (2–4) years in a similar role within a related industry
- Strong math and analytical skills including proficiency in basic arithmetic and ability to interpret graphs and charts
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, safety rules, and maintenance manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Specific vision abilities including close vision and depth perception
Desired Qualifications
- Relevant technical training courses or seminars
- Proficiency in computer software such as DOS, Microsoft Office, SAP, and SPC (Statistical Process Control)
