Job Summary
Equipment Maintenance 1 operates on C shift (7am–7:30pm Fri/Sat; duties include maintenance and repair of production equipment and facility systems). Responsibilities include performing semiskilled maintenance across electrical, plumbing, mechanical, hydraulics, and pneumatic systems; assisting with installation, teardown, and relocation of equipment; troubleshooting, operating, and repairing equipment; adhering to Lockout/Tagout procedures and safety standards; maintaining work orders; reading schematics and using a multimeter; replacing belts and chains; working on filter mist systems; operating boom lifts and tuggers; and supporting continuous improvement in safety, quality, and productivity. Requires high school diploma or GED and 2+ years of maintenance experience in industrial settings; forklift certification as needed; ability to read schematics, use tools, understand NFPA 79, and perform LOTO; physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds; willingness to overtime and rotate as needed; and familiarity with Microsoft Office. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- 2+ years of experience in maintenance in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Forklift driver skill and certification (as may be required)
- Able to operate hand tools and power tools
- Knowledge of NFPA 79
- Knowledge of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures
- Ability to read schematics
- Ability to use a multimeter
- Able to replace belts and chains
- Experience with troubleshooting production equipment
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise and chemicals
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Willingness to work overtime and to rotate shifts/areas as needed
- Possess strong safety awareness and adhere to company safety standards
- Familiarity with safety and environmental health principles
