Job Summary
Equipment Field Service Technician needed to support and maintain a regional rental fleet through field service, diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance. Based in Evansville, IN with ~200-mile travel radius; work performed both in shop and in the field on industrial/construction equipment including aerial lifts, forklifts, rigging gear, diesel utility vehicles, air compressors, welding machines, and related equipment. Requires strong mechanical aptitude, ability to read manuals/blueprints/technical documents, and the capacity to work independently while delivering professional customer service. Travel and occasional overnight stays may be required; responsibilities include diagnosing, repairing, performing major service, completing work orders and related documentation, mentoring other technicians, and adhering to safety and company policies.
Required Qualifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- read, interpret, and understand equipment manuals, blueprints, and technical documentation
- 5+ years related equipment repair experience preferred
- Experience servicing aerial lifts, forklifts, rigging equipment, diesel utility vehicles, air compressors, welding machines, general industrial equipment
- Valid driver’s license with good driving record
- Ability to pass MVR, driver physical, and road test for non-CDL driving responsibilities
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to lift, climb, stand for extended periods, work in varying weather conditions
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and occasional overnight travel
- Provide own basic hand tools
