Job Summary
Equipment Field Mechanic for Conco Construction—perform on-site service, repair, and preventive maintenance for heavy and light construction equipment (loaders, excavators, skid steers, telehandlers, trucks) across Wichita projects. Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues using diagnostic tools; conduct preventative maintenance and inspections to minimize downtime; document service reports; maintain a safe, organized service area and truck. Must have a valid driver’s license; CDL preferred but not required. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced field environment; strong problem-solving skills; willingness to work extended hours and respond to emergency service calls. Wages based on experience and performance; background check and drug screen required; standard benefits package observed.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- CDL preferred but not required
- Experience as heavy equipment mechanic or field technician
- Strong mechanical knowledge including hydraulics, electrical systems, and diesel engines
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic software
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Physical ability to lift 50 pounds occasionally and perform tasks outdoors for long periods
