Job Summary
Review plans and specifications to develop cost estimates for HVAC projects, ensuring accuracy in equipment quantity, size, configuration, and voltage. Provide estimating support to the sales team by coordinating selection, pricing, and integration of controls and services. Consult with customers, account managers, and suppliers to develop facility solutions and finalize proposals. Assist in determining selling strategies and developing project fulfillment schedules. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering or business management with three to five years of estimating experience, a valid driver's license, and flexibility for overtime.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology or business management
- Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years' experience in estimating, project management, engineering, HVAC or construction management
- Equivalent combination of education and industry related experience (for candidates without a 4-year degree)
- Strong communication skills
- Proactive approach with willingness to work independently as well as part of a team
- Proven experience prioritizing tasks in order to meet tight deadlines within a high-paced environment with attention to detail
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
- Flexibility to work overtime/ weekends, as required
- Must possess a valid driver's license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations included, but not limited to: DUI, Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless/Careless Driving or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology or business management preferred
- Familiarity with the operation of HVAC Systems and/or Temperature Controls preferred
