Job Summary
The Equipment Engineer is responsible for tool maintenance and repair in the Semiconductor Fab, coaching and supporting maintenance personnel, organizing equipment spares, ensuring no line down situations, and performing preventative maintenance routines. This role also involves oversight of process equipment modifications, technical support for production equipment repairment, equipment downtime tracking, vendor interface for installations and upgrades, and documentation writing. The position requires strong equipment skills in both electrical and mechanical domains and problem-solving capabilities, with an emphasis on driving continuous improvement projects.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years hands-on experience in a semiconductor manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with semiconductor fabrication processes and tools
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Strong sense of initiative and ownership in troubleshooting
- Physical ability to perform hands-on technical tasks on semiconductor process tools
