Job Summary
Micron Equipment Engineer in India responsible for installing, configuring, and verifying lab devices such as testers, ovens, and chambers; performing preventive maintenance and calibration; coordinating vendor AMC/PMC; loading/unloading DUTs, assisting tester setup, and maintaining lab readiness; managing server hardware operations (BIOS, firmware, hardware configurations, RMAs); adhering to safety standards (EHS, ESD) and documenting downtime and maintenance actions; requires hands-on lab equipment experience and familiarity with Advantest SSD testers, Nextest Teradyne, wafer probers, and servers; strong documentation, Jira usage, and CAPA reporting skills.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Instrumentation, or related field)
- Experience: 2–5 years in engineering labs, equipment operations, manufacturing test, or related environments
- Hands-on exposure to lab equipment installation, maintenance, or operations
- Experience with lab equipment like testers, ovens, chambers; server hardware management; BIOS/firmware configurations; vendor RMAs
- Knowledge: Advantest SSD tester, Nextest Teradyne, fully automatic wafer probers, servers (HP/DELL), storage servers
- CAPA reporting and Jira ticketing
- IT/NW infrastructure diagnosis methods
- Documentation: maintenance logs, Jira trackers, downtime maintenance actions
- Safety & compliance: EHS/ESD/lab safety standards
- Ability to load/unload DUTs, assist tester setup, manage spares, consumables
- Strong documentation and fault-tracking skills
- Vendor coordination for AMC/PMC
- Calibration and preventive maintenance
- Rack, stack, cable, decommission servers; firmware upgrades
