Job Summary
Support estimating teams by selecting optimal equipment, vehicle, and marine assets while developing rent-vs-own analyses and buy-salvage economics for bid-day strategies. Create and maintain a master listing of equipment ownership and operating costs, integrating HCSS-based needs into resource-loaded schedules within the Walsh Equipment Management Tool. Manage hourly mechanic timesheets, repair authorizations, and shop tool inventories, ensuring accurate coding and proper scope of work per inspections. Conduct weekly shop safety inspections, toolbox talks, and daily THAs to maintain a safe environment, while purchasing or repairing shop tools and managing consumable supplies. Collaborate on weekly resource allocation planning for future repair scheduling and assist with component repairs sent to outside vendors.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of work experience in equipment purchasing, repairs or asset/fleet management
- Bachelor's degree or technical
- Demonstrated history of managing and prioritizing multiple projects
- Strong leadership skills
- Excellent oral and written communication
- Strong follow up
- Ability to establish relationships
- Self-motivated
- Critical thinking and decision making skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with construction software is preferred
