Job Summary
Lead design and specification of mechanical systems for gas turbine auxiliary equipment, including heat exchangers, fuel gas conditioning equipment, gas turbine HVAC, enhanced cooling air systems, and tempering air fans. Interpret P&IDs, contracts, and technical documentation to define system requirements; perform engineering calculations to ensure proper sizing and code compliance; prepare inquiry and purchase specifications and evaluate suppliers; review vendor designs for contract/code/quality conformance; coordinate equipment layout, foundations, and mechanical integration; define testing requirements and ensure product quality; develop engineering standards and identify cost-reduction opportunities; manage engineering deliverable schedules and serve as the technical interface with customers, vendors, and internal teams, with potential travel to project sites up to twice a year.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or technical diploma from college or university
- 8 years extensive direct experience with skid-mounted equipment, rotating and/or static equipment in an EPC environment preferred; power plant or international experience a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, electronic mail required
- Exceptional communication, strategic thinking, and organizational skills
- Minimal travel may be required – potential to visit project sites involving both domestic and international travel twice a year
