Job Summary
Equipment Engineer to support CMP/EPI in Hillsboro, OR, focusing on new equipment installation planning, startup, PM programs, spare parts, technician training, and maximizing equipment uptime. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, developing specs, corrective maintenance planning, coordinating with equipment/production/process teams to align work with production priorities, developing training programs for technician certification, equipment-improvement initiatives, participating in technician hiring and cross-training, overseeing relocations/installations, and reporting daily activities. Requires 3+ years Fab semiconductor experience, BS in Engineering, strong troubleshooting, ability to read schematics, experience with EPI/CMP tool sets, SPC/FMEA familiarity, and strong communication/teamwork.
Required Qualifications
- BS in Engineering
- 3+ years of Fab experience on relevant semiconductor equipment
- Strong technical capability
- Ability to troubleshoot system problems to board level
- Ability to analyze equipment schematics for advanced troubleshooting
- Experience with EPI tool sets preferred: ASM EPSILON 2000/ LPE PE3061D / AMAT 7700 EPITAXY
- Experience with CMP tool sets preferred: AMAT Mirra Polishers, LAM Ontrak Scrubbers
- Experience with tools such as Disco grinder, tape/detapers, KLA/Tencor metrology equipment (plus)
- Familiarity with SPC, FMEA, and standard engineering practices
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Desire to learn and support additional toolsets
