Job Summary
HVAC Equipment Complex Projects Engineer collaborates with sales, project management, and engineering teams to plan, execute, and deliver complex HVAC equipment projects across the U.S. and Canada. Responsibilities include managing project P&L and customer satisfaction, coordinating backlog and scheduling up to two years in advance, overseeing turnover between equipment sales and order execution, interpreting engineering drawings to develop engineered equipment submittals (coil/fan/chiller selections), ensuring compliance with contract drawings and site requirements, coordinating with cross-functional teams to identify and manage cross-scope items, preparing cost estimates and proposals, negotiating final settlements, coordinating equipment order processes, generating technical content for purchase orders, tracking material deliveries, ensuring contract and Johnson Controls standards compliance, and coordinating customer training and payment collection upon project completion. Preferred AutoCAD experience and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering are noted. The role is remote-able within the U.S. and Canada, with explicit emphasis on project leadership and cross-functional coordination.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 3+ years operations management experience, or mechanical engineering experience
- Project management
- Knowledge of heat transfer, thermodynamics, thermal analysis, fluid dynamics
