Job Summary
Equipment Associate at United Rentals responsible for safety-guided checks and maintenance of portable sanitation equipment, ensuring rent-ready condition, loading/unloading units ( forklift if required ), basic repairs, and yard organization. Responsibilities include performing routine inspections, cleaning and repairing equipment, ensuring accurate unit counts for dispatch, maintaining inventory, and setting up/maintaining a clean shop and yard. Strong emphasis on safety, customer service, and professional demeanor; opportunities for advancement into Driver and Service Technician development programs. Skills prioritized include use of hand tools (drill, rivet tool), attention to safety procedures, ability to communicate effectively, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather. This role is safety-sensitive and requires the ability to lift up to 45 lbs and operate in a dynamic, customer-facing environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalency
- Valid driver's license
- Diligent safety focus
- General knowledge of yard equipment and loading/unloading of trucks
- Excellent verbal communication
- Ability to lift up to 45 lbs
