Job Summary
Conduct technical investigations and root cause analysis for complex field issues across the company's engineering inspection portfolio. Audit engineering documentation including SOR, DFMEA, and DVP plans, while reviewing test reports to ensure acceptance criteria and deviations are properly documented. Drive Engineering Risk Assessment Audits (ESOM) and lead the Engineering Sign Off process to release models. Capture learnings from model development and build phases to govern the learning database and apply continuous improvements cross-model. Assist dealers in resolving complex issues and perform Engineering Documentation and PHC audits throughout the program lifecycle. Requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering with 10+ years in automotive product development, specifically in ePowertrain, EDS, or EV Thermal management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Automotive Engineering
- 10+ years experience in automotive industry product development (ePowertrain / EDS / EV Thermal management)
- Design & Release or T&V experience for automotive components/systems/subsystems
- Product Design, Testing, GD&T, Specs&Requirements, Tooling, etc.
- Experienced in Organized Problem Solving (Development & Field Issues), finding root cause and application of Containment and Permanent Solution
- User level knowledge of CAD Software for part and interface analysis (not design)
- EV Thermal Management
- Basic knowledge of the SOR, FMEA, Spec Book, Design Validation, Engineering Change processes
- User level knowledge of Teamcenter
- Independent expert: Can do tasks with minimum supervision
- Capability to understand, based on evidence, if: 1.issue investigations are complete, 2.issues are contained and customers are protected
- Knowledge to integrate different Vehicle parts to meet the design standards and specifications
- Results oriented approach
- Demonstrate a high degree of resilience and ability to deal with high pressure situations using a data driven approach
- Communications: Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all levels in business

- Advanced knowledge of the SOR, FMEA, Spec Book, Design Validation, Engineering Change processes
- User level knowledge of Atalassian Jira desired
