Job Summary
Monitor and patrol assigned areas, including facilities, grounds, parking areas, and perimeters, to deter security incidents and respond professionally to alarms, disturbances, and critical situations. Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and the public while carrying out armed security procedures, screening access points, and reporting suspicious activity or policy violations. Prepare accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation. Respond to emerging situations in a calm, problem-solving manner by coordinating with appropriate law enforcement personnel.
Required Qualifications
- graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent
- college degree
- at least 21 years of age
- at least 2 years of law enforcement, military, and/or corrections experience
- DD214 with an honorable discharge, an associate degree or 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate
- high school diploma or equivalent
- subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
- subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
- valid driver's license
