Job Summary
Conduct outpatient clinic services, manage the 4-bed EMU, and interpret EEGs for patients with epilepsy and neurological conditions. Lead evaluation for epilepsy surgery in partnership with functional neurosurgeons to achieve NAEC epilepsy center certification. Grow an epilepsy-focused subspecialty practice while providing longitudinal care across Legacy Good Samaritan Medical Center. Opportunities for research, teaching, and leadership involvement exist within the collaborative team of nine neurologists and four APPs. No emergency department call is required.
Required Qualifications
- Fellowship training in Epilepsy
- Minimum of five years of post-graduate experience in outpatient epilepsy management and EEG interpretation
- Board Certified in Neurology
- Unrestricted license to practice medicine in the applicable state
- Active member in good standing of Hospital Medical Staff
- BLS for Provider certification from the American Heart Association
- J-1 and H-1B visa sponsorships are not available
Desired Qualifications
- Prior involvement in an epilepsy surgery program
- Skills to partner effectively with our functional neurosurgeon
- Ability to lead a team to evaluate patients for surgery
- Achieve NAEC epilepsy center certification
