Job Summary
Become part of the epilepsy division within the Department of Neurology at UPMC and the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine as an epileptologist with a primary focus on the surgical epilepsy program. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including neuroradiologists, neuropsychologists, neuropsychiatrists, EEG technologists, APPs, epilepsy nurses and social workers. Responsibilities include presurgical evaluation and interpretation of stereo-EEG, clinical care for adults with drug-resistant epilepsy, and involvement in ongoing research and education. The role supports a sign-on bonus and relocation, and a competitive rank with a base salary commensurate with experience, plus an outstanding benefits package. The department operates a new 10-bed EMU and integrates services across outpatient clinics, EEG monitoring, and subspecialty clinics related to epilepsy surgery. Candidates must have an MD or equivalent, be board certified/eligible in Neurology and Epilepsy, have completed at least two years of epilepsy fellowship, and be eligible to obtain an unrestricted PA medical license. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to a nationally recognized epilepsy program within the University of Pittsburgh/UPMC network.
Required Qualifications
- MD or equivalent and board certified/eligible in Neurology and Epilepsy
- completed at least two years of epilepsy fellowship
- experience in presurgical evaluation and interpretation of stereo-EEG in adult patients with drug-resistant epilepsy
- ability to obtain an unrestricted PA license
