Job Summary
Faculty Epileptologist focused on the surgical epilepsy program within the Department of Neurology, collaborating with neuroradiology, neuropsychology, neuropsychiatry, EEG technologists, APPs, and epilepsy nurses to advance presurgical evaluation and SEEG-directed treatment for drug-resistant epilepsy. Qualifications include an MD or equivalent with board certification/eligibility in Neurology and Epilepsy and at least two years of epilepsy fellowship, plus experience in presurgical evaluation and interpretation of stereo-EEG in adults. Salary is commensurate with experience with a sign-on bonus and relocation support; benefits include 6 weeks of vacation (4 weeks) and CME allowance (2 weeks). The appointment is with the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine/UPMC and involves an active epilepsy division with extensive clinical and research activity.
Required Qualifications
- MD or equivalent
- board certified/eligible in Neurology and Epilepsy
- completed at least two years of epilepsy fellowship
- experience in presurgical evaluation and interpretation of stereo-EEG in adult patients with drug-resistant epilepsy
- unrestricted PA license
