Epilepsy Nurse Navigator (RN)

Nurse Navigator (RN) coordinates and facilitates cancer-care navigation for patients, families, and caregivers using the nursing process to improve timely access to care and adherence to the care plan. Responsibilities include acting as subject-matter expert in navigation, coordinating care with interdisciplinary teams, providing patient-centered education, documenting care, leading and mentoring other nurses, and promoting evidence-based practice within oncology/navigation programs. Requires a licensed RN with 5 years of nursing practice and at least 2 years in disease-specific care (outpatient/care coordination experience preferred). Education requirements include a Bachelor’s in Nursing (or accredited program) with Master’s preferred; certifications ACLS/BLS and RN licensure (single-state or multi-state compact) are required, with additional disease-specific certification pursued within 1 year. The role is based in Georgia and involves in-person care coordination across the cancer continuum with a focus on improving access and quality of care.
