Job Summary
Develop and maintain data pipelines from the Aeromedical Waiver Division to secure Defense Health Agency environments, ensuring data quality, compliance, and security. Conduct advanced statistical analysis and visual analytics on health surveillance data to support operational studies and risk reduction for the total force population. Create, validate, and operate data processes while assisting in investigation plans, drafting internal communications, and providing expert advice in interdisciplinary planning. Brief study findings at government meetings, publish peer-reviewed manuscripts, and provide technical automation support for Microsoft and SQL systems. Perform under validation protocols to ensure model performance standards are met and document all code products per USAFSAM programming standards.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in epidemiology
- Minimum of two years' experience in their field of expertise
- Current in Health Information Portability and accountability Act (HIPAA) training
- Advanced analytical skills to include visual analytics in population health and health data surveillance
- Ability to design, formulate, conduct, and lead data analysis of operational studies on health surveillance data/health records/other relevant military records and risk reduction of negative health outcomes affecting the DAF total force population
- Advanced analytical skills in statistics and study design and execution
- Expertise in descriptive statistics
- SAS/SAS EG and SQL-related languages and software
- Minimum of 5 years of using SAS/EG or SQL
- Signed Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) in place with their company based on the potential access to confidential, proprietary, and/or sensitive information
Desired Qualifications
- Experience within a health analytics related field and working with DAF related data
