Job Summary
Develop and maintain enhancements to the CHANT data collection project by building and modifying REDCap modules based on programmatic requirements. Implement SAS code changes and project updates as monitoring guidance evolves, then pull, clean, analyze, and submit recurring reports on program participation and outcomes. Write independent code to test outputs for accuracy and create visualizations to support surveillance projects. Provide technical assistance to non-technical staff regarding REDCap systems and SOPs while responding to data inquiries from regional teams, leadership, and public health partners. Fulfill ad-hoc analysis requests and support the integration of the CHANT program into a new data system. Work effectively in a remote environment with monthly or as-needed travel to Nashville.
Required Qualifications
- Current Tennessee residents only
- Monthly or as-needed travel to Nashville required
- Travel is not reimbursable
- Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Epidemiology, Public Health Biostatistics, Statistics, or Health Information
- Master's degree in Health Science, Biomedical Science, or Environmental Science with two years of equivalent experience in epidemiology, biostatistics, statistics, health informatics, health sciences, biomedical sciences, or environmental sciences
- Extensive experience with REDCap and ability to quickly develop data collection systems
- Proficiency with SAS programming/statistical software
- Experience managing electronic data and navigating complex databases
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
- Ability to independently write code and validate analytical outputs
- Strong customer service and teamwork skills
- Ability to provide technical assistance to non-technical users
- Ability to work remotely and collaborate effectively with public health teams and stakeholders
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with public health and health data, including vital records or health survey data
- Experience deploying or implementing application systems or related technologies
- Foundation in system design, analysis, and evaluation
- Experience with public health surveillance and program evaluation
