Job Summary
Senior Epic Orders Application Analyst responsible for analysis, design, configuration, testing, implementation, and support of Epic Inpatient Orders across administrative, financial, and clinical information systems. The role includes mentoring peers, leading mid-size projects, coordinating with external vendors, developing testing plans, and ensuring alignment with IT strategy. This remote position includes travel opportunities and requires Epic Inpatient Orders experience, with a preference for certification and knowledge of SmartSets, OrderSets, Panels, provider workflows, and Bridges interfaces. The position involves on-call duties, documentation, and collaboration with stakeholders to meet business requirements and system integrity. This role is based in Utah with multiple US locations referenced in the posting and supports flexible work options as approved.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, healthcare, business, or related field (or actively working toward)
- Four years of work experience in related areas or actively working toward Bachelor's with six years of experience
- Epic Inpatient Orders certification preferred
- Ability to operate computers and related IT equipment
- Strong analytical, design, testing, and implementation capabilities
- Experience in configuring, testing, installing, implementing, and maintaining software systems
- Experience in end-user training and knowledge transfer
- Ability to work in a remote position with travel as needed
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to participate in on-call and command center responsibilities
- Experience with project management and budget concepts
