Epic MD Informaticist – Go-Live Support

Job Summary
Provide at-the-elbow support to physicians and advanced practice providers during Epic EHR Go-Live events, assessing and troubleshooting clinical workflow challenges impacting patient care. Assist providers with documentation, order entry, results review, medication management, and patient communication workflows while monitoring adoption and identifying optimization opportunities across ambulatory, inpatient, emergency, and procedural areas. Serve as the primary liaison between physicians and the implementation team, facilitating communication, gathering feedback, and promoting standardized workflows. Participate in command center activities, escalate issues to Epic analysts, and validate resolutions to ensure operational efficiency and patient safety. Transition support from Go-Live to stabilization and hypercare phases.
Required Qualifications
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
- Active and unrestricted medical license
- Minimum 3 years of clinical practice experience
- Experience utilizing Epic EHR in a clinical setting
- Strong understanding of physician workflows and clinical operations
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced healthcare environments
- Doctorate
- Medical Doctor (Required)
Desired Qualifications
- Previous Epic implementation, optimization, or Go-Live experience preferred
- Epic Clinical Informatics experience
- Epic OpTime, Cupid, Stork, and Lumen
- Previous experience serving as a Physician Champion or Clinical Informaticist
- Experience supporting large-scale health system implementations
- Board Certification in a clinical specialty
- Epic Stork ATE Support: 3 years (Preferred)
- Epic Optime ATE Support: 3 years (Preferred)
- Epic Cupid ATE Support: 3 years (Preferred)
