Job Summary

Manage daily Epic System operations by configuring, modifying, and maintaining applications while running and assuring all daily jobs process on current and legacy practice management systems. Translate user requirements into functional specifications, document workflows for ambulatory systems, and evaluate customer requests for completeness. Provide end-user support, resolve application defects, and deliver ongoing training to clinical stakeholders. Maintain legacy systems and system documentation while recommending changes to established guidelines. Work beyond scheduled hours and manage on-call responsibilities with occasional travel.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of all aspects of Windows server and workstation operating system administration
  • Independent problem-solving, self-direction
  • Designs and documents the general functional requirements and detailed technical specifications workflows
  • Designs and documents the general functional requirements and detailed technical specifications for ambulatory workflows
  • Ability to translate user requirements into functional & design specifications
  • Ability to communicate with report consumers to gather specifications
  • Ability to review designs
  • Ability to present drafts
  • Ability to validate results
  • Ability to provide support to end users
  • Ability to participate in training
  • Ability to participate in process improvement
  • Ability to participate in quality assurance initiatives
  • Ability to provide new and ongoing application training

  • Bachelor (4-year) degree, with a technical major, such as Engineering or Computer Science
  • Associates degree with 2 years of additional work experience in a related field
  • High school diploma with an additional 4 years of work experience in a related field
  • Experience with business or clinical computer systems in the areas of data/information warehousing data and reporting of such data
  • Solid understanding of computer systems, interfaces, software, and IT functions
  • Certified / Credentialed in Epic Ambulatory within 6 months of hire or 90 days after last class

Desired Qualifications

  • Networking and phone system experience a plus
  • Strong background in systems analysis, design and problem solving preferred
