Job Summary
Epic Application Analyst for Ambulatory/Beacon Oncology in the Division of Information Systems provides specialized expertise and routine analysis to support Epic software implementation and operation. Collaborates with IT staff, Epic personnel, and end users to deliver operational support and advance electronic health record initiatives. Responsibilities include researching, testing, troubleshooting, documenting, releasing, implementing, and supporting applications; providing leadership and training to staff; developing training materials; designing and enhancing applications and business processes; preparing specifications and status reports; developing test plans and ensuring smooth system integration; participating in project teams; and maintaining compliance with internal policies and the corporate program. Requires a high school diploma or GED and Epic certification or accreditation (and must obtain Epic certification within six months if not already certificated). Preferred qualifications include RHIA/CAHIMSS/CPHIMMSS and experience in healthcare information management or Epic optimization. The role may involve occasional travel; standard full-time schedule with Day shift. This entry is located at UMMC Main Campus in Jackson, Mississippi.
