Job Summary
The Incumbent will design, build, and test assigned Epic modules across areas such as Emergency Department, Inpatient Clinical, Inpatient Orders, Infection Control, Willow Pharmacy, HIM, Grand Central, Out Patient Clinical, Surgery, Radiant Radiology, Beaker Laboratory, Cadence/Prelude Scheduling – Clinical and Hospital/Cadence modules. Responsibilities include maintaining documentation of business and system configuration requirements, configuring Epic software per SME decisions (templates, drop-downs, pick lists), completing team tasks per the work plan, and providing status updates to the Team Lead. The role requires Epic software configuration, strong patient access workflow knowledge, and coordination with end users and stakeholders. Occasional travel to facilities is required; driving a GSA vehicle is specified. The successful candidate will have Epic certification, an Oklahoma Driver’s License, and the ability to communicate effectively with clinical/business departments and external agencies, while demonstrating adaptability, time management, and problem-solving skills.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree or two years specialized training in an applicable field (Business Administration, Allied Health, Computer Science, etc.)
- Epic certification
- Incumbent must be insurable and valid Oklahoma Driver’s License
- Complete specific job related training
- Experience with patient access workflows, schedule templates, registration best-practices, decision trees, establishing multiple patient access channels, and aligning technology with operational needs
- Experience configuring Epic modules and test plans
- Ability to work independently under minimum supervision
- Strong communication with department staff, tribal/outside agencies and the public
- Ability to prepare detailed program specifications and flowcharts, and coordinate installation with user departments
- Ability to lead teams and adhere to industry standards
- Willingness to drive to MCNDH facilities
