Job Summary
Analyze workflows, data collection, and technical issues associated with Epic software to recommend solutions and implement application changes. Build and maintain Epic application content by following functional specifications, conducting unit testing, and populating databases during initial system builds. Investigate end user preferences while making build decisions, troubleshoot problems, and work with report writers to ensure necessary reporting capabilities. Document system issues, establish change control processes, and participate in training development and delivery to support application roll-outs. Maintain regular communication with Epic representatives and the end user community to ensure system alignment with organizational needs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information services, health administration, business administration, health sciences or related field of study
- Two (2) years of Epic or integrated EMR experience
- Associate degree in Computer Science or related field of study and four (4) years of related Information Technology experience in a Business Computer Science, or health care setting
- High School Diploma or equivalent and seven (7) years related Information Technology experience in a business, computer science, or health care setting
- one (1) year of Epic build and/or support experience
- Epic Module Certification
- CPHIMS
