Job Summary
Epic Ambulatory Team Lead responsible for leading a dynamic Epic - Ambulatory Primary Care team. Responsibilities include hands-on participation and oversight of workflow analysis, data collection, system design, and technical troubleshooting associated with Epic solutions; prepare detailed requirement specifications; provide technical expertise in identifying and evaluating system enhancements; manage design, build, testing, installation, and maintenance of Epic applications; oversee task delegation, performance management, training needs, staffing decisions, project planning, risk/issues management; provide high-level client service by resolving escalated incidents through advanced troubleshooting and vendor collaboration; develop solutions for new system requirements; conduct design and code reviews to ensure efficiency and adherence to standards; maintain expertise in industry best practices and emerging technologies; provide 24x7 remote on-call support on a rotating schedule, and on-site support within Montefiore Medical Center hospitals and affiliates.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience
- EpicCare Ambulatory or Orders certification
- 6+ years of related Epic and healthcare operations experience, including ambulatory workflows and practices
- Prior leadership experience in a supervisory, Team Lead, or Technical Lead role within IT, including team coordination, coaching, and performance management
- Experience in Epic application implementation, configuration, go-live support, troubleshooting, testing, and maintenance
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with effective technical documentation abilities
- Excellent professional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficient desktop skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience working directly with clinical and business end users
