Job Summary
Inspect, diagnose, and troubleshoot equipment problems while performing critical machine and engine repairs and adjustments. Generate service reports, collect required oil samples, and complete inspections at the job site, submitting documentation to dispatchers within 24–48 hours. Adhere to documented CSA processes, Caterpillar guidelines, and MSHA safety protocols, including lock-out/tag-out and arc flash training. Travel to and lodge at assigned locations for 14-day on, 7-day off rotational assignments with up to 100% required travel. Maintain a clean driving record and obtain CDL within 90 days.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- five to eight years related experience and/or training
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Flexibility to fulfill the scheduling structure of a rotational position
- Clean driving record
- CDL license within 90 days
- Successful completion of Work steps assessment
- Certification prior to operating a forklift and/or man lift
- Completion of arc flash training
- Completion of all EPG Level III training and/or demonstrated performance
- H2s certification
- MSHA certification
- Lock-out /tag-out certification
- Regularly required to stand
