Job Summary
EPC Project Manager will lead planning, budgeting, buyout, project controls and reporting, scheduling, and risk management for utility-scale solar projects. The role partners with the superintendent to plan and execute self-performed work, manage large labor crews, optimize production and labor spend, and ensure project milestones and cost forecasts are met. Responsibilities include safety program development, timely billings and cash-flow optimization, change-order negotiation with owners, subcontract and material procurement, maintaining schedule integrity, and maintaining project documentation and reporting. The position requires mentoring project teams, managing risk, and coordinating with Owner, Architect, and Subcontractors, with extensive travel (minimum 50%) to remote job sites. Required Qualifications
- Engineering, Construction Management or Architectural degree preferred
- Field construction management experience (5-8 years) including supervisory skills
- Strong leadership and communication skills; able to lead diverse teams in remote environments
- Comfortable with extensive travel (minimum 50%) to job sites
- Proficiency with MS Office; CMiC experience a plus; Bluebeam Revu familiarity
- Understanding of contract law, project accounting, scheduling, cost control, procurement, and estimating
- Ability to develop and maintain project reporting, cost forecasting, and EoC analysis
- Ability to negotiate change orders, manage subcontractor and material purchasing
- Commitment to safety plans and site safety procedures
- Strong organizational and documentation skills; mentor to junior staff
- Ability to build trust with Owner, Architect, and Subcontractors
- Financial acumen for supervising labor, buyout, and billing processes
